Great 1st time Laser sailing Sunday 5th August 2007 at Kinrooi with Sunshine (rare this Summer) & steady South East Wind blowing 3 beaufort.

Length 4.23m
Beam 1.42m
Hull Weight 59kg
Small Sail Area (curved mast) Laser 4.70m2
Medium Sail Area Laser Radial 5.76m2
Large = Standard Sail Area Laser 7.06m2

Attention Points

A Fit rudder in loop so traveller runs free
B Don't forget to secure bung in drain hole
C Mast consist of 2 parts, make sure 2 red arrows line up (tension here is highest)
D Daggerboard secured with elastic shockcord to bow eye
E Sail tack should finish in line with gooseneck


Miscellaneous

  1. No lugguage compartment, put essential belongings in small waterproof plastic barrel and secure on board
  2. Learned a new knot = series of slipknots to form a handle, but did not find name nor instructions
